It was a fine morning and just like any other days, I woke up when the sun was already high up in the sky. Moma would kill me if she was at home but she wasn't and it was holiday, so yeah. The house was empty and it was all mine. I was ready to lay down in my bed again, pulling up the blanket covering my face.. 'Wake up. We're going to service the car today.' He's home? I was surprise to see that and although it kinda spoiled my morning, I was happy.
Being home with him, just the two of us is not something that happen very often. And since I was leaving home in few weeks, to spend more time with him is all I want.
There I was driving in the small car while he drove the big car. I followed him steadily until we reach the car service centre. We dropped of the keys and off we went.
I don't know why but whenever I'm with him, I feel like a little girl with such high curiosity. I would ask him stupid and silly questions. He would laugh and answer them patiently. At this age, I could have learn all the answers through google and sometimes I already knew the answer. But even if I did, I would still ask him. Why? Cause Dado's answers are always sort of unique, never fail to make me laugh and it is actually the key to his precious childhood stories.
'Why is there no circus in Malaysia? I've never been to one and I don't think I will. How do I make a circus come to Malaysia?'
'There was! When I was small, circus always come to Malaysia.' And his childhood story begun...
Dado was quite a naughty boy in the village he grew up. He was a curious child and often discover the world on his own (with his army of naughty friends of course!). Once, there was a circus came to the village. Dado and his friends came up with a plan to take the opportunity and make some money. They wondered around the village, looking for little kittens. After a while, they approach the circus master.
'Hey uncle! We've got kittens!'
'Yeah. So?'
'Do you want to buy them?'
'Why should I buy them?'
'Buy the kittens and feed them to the lion!'
I couldn't stop laughing. Dado was a devil! How could he? All this time, he took such good care of Socky and Luna and hundreds more kittens that we've had before, and now he reveals his childhood secret. Thank God the circus master said no.
Now, can you see what I mean by his answers are sort of unique. This is one of the x-factors of Dado. The reason why he is such a great loving fun father. I grew up wanting a husband that is alike him and I still am. If only I could have him by my side all my life, I will cry only tears of happiness and from hard laughing.
My life would be incomplete without you Dado. I love you so much! Happy Father's Day!
