My Very First (Serious) Injury

Ever since I got clingy with Sara, I've been taking a lot of trips to the hospital. Today, finally, I went to the hospital because of me!

I was sooo eager to join the sports carnival this year. Let's admit it, the last thing people would think of me is a sports person and I thought I might try my luck and see if I could nurture some interest in that area.

First day, I played frisbee. That was a lot fun. I didn't play much but we won third place. Second day, that's where I got the clear sign that sports is a no no for me. It was a beautiful Sunday. I was all up and about and excited to play netball, even much more than Sara who really is a netball player.

It was the second half of the game, just few minutes in, and little clumsy me just had to fall and hit my left elbow on the concrete. At first, I thought it was a just a slight injury, nothing serious. I am the last person who can tolerate pain (I swear my pain tolerance is like -10) and the last thing I want was experiencing pain. That was my main reason of not playing sports.

The next day I went to the health centre, went for x-ray an hour later and to the hospital after an urgent call from the doctor. Thank god it wasn't a broken arm but it was badly fractured alright. My left arm ended up in a plaster and I had to wear it for about two weeks.

And this happened exactly two weeks before my siblings arrive for our trip around NZ which I have to drive them around, a day before taxation exam, two days before commercial law assignment due which I haven’t start at all and three days before my mandarin test, talk about perfect timing.

If I do survive this, I would respect and be so proud of myself.

So, wish me luck people!
